Embedding Videos 2.2

Hi,

Just a quick question - we've moved from 1.9 to 2.2 and I am trying to embed a flash video.

If using a youtube video, I can just copy and paste the embed code provided, that works fine -

But, with flash content we had created ourselves, we used to upload the video to the files section, right click on the uploaded file, go to "copy link location" and then paste the location of the file into a manually typed in HTML Embed code in a label.

In 1.9, we got a URL such as http://moodle.ac.uk/file.php/40/Hairdressing_2.swf - we'd then do something along the lines of <embed src="http://moodle.ac.uk/file.php/40/Hairdressing_2.swf" /> to paraphrase and it'd work.

In 2.2, I don't seem to get this static link to the file - I have tried uploading as normal in the file picker and also uploading in my "private files" block too - the "link location" of the file doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone know how I can do this?????  We have literally moved to 2.2 last week, so may be missing a useful plugin or something that may help.

If I use "add a file" to add the video - or if use the "Moodle media" button at the top of the label box to add the flash file - I just get a link to it the file, which then opens in a new window, not it displayed on the main page you do when embedding it.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Laura

Thank you, managed to get it working by editing the multimedia filters under plugins in the admin section - although SWF was already ticked as enabled, and it was a SWF that wouldn't embed - I've now ticked them all and it works.
