Moodle documentation: Documentation cross language consistancy

Moodle documentation: Documentation cross language consistancy

Hi all,

I experiment some issues with coss language page bindings...

When we add only the 1.9 version, the common usage was :

{langcode:pagename} to provide cross langage versions jumps.

Now moodle 1.9 docs leads to Moodle 2 language counterparts, which makes those mapping messy...

some ideas or additional syntax to add for having those links fixed ?

Thanks.

From the silence I infer that the answer is negative.

The fundamental question is, should there be a cross language consistency? If the answer is yes, why it can not be done? What went wrong?

Hi Valery,

I had asked about that in MDLSITE-1734 on March 20 (and other times before, don't remember where exactly)...

In all earnest, can there be a cross language consistency in Moodle Docs, given the facts
a) uncontrolled duplication of /en/ wikis against the "two wiki" concept of /de/ and /fr/ wikis? http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=193518

b) the ToC-less "loose sheet and sub-sheet" concept (if one call it a concept) of /en/ wiki?
http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=202166 (that discussion was on /dev/ but /en/ is no better)
