We would like to take this opportunity to inform our fellow Moodlers about our new public online course in Emotional Intelligence training. This course (of course) runs on Moodle.
This course has now been under development since July 2004. Our selection of Moodle as the LMS for all our courses has turned out to be a huge bonus to the project.
While this is a commercial project we are doing it more from our hearts than from any financial incentive. We hope however that the project will at least pay its own way.
We have managed to integrate Moodle as our e-campus into a conventional HTML web site, near seamlessly and with very few problems.
At this stage we are using 100% standard Moodle but the plan is to customise certain parts of the program to better suit our needs. We are therefore hoping to be able to offer some code snippets and maybe even some complete modules back to the Moodle community .
Since Dan Golemans best selling book on Emotional Intelligence appeared about 10 years ago, the subject has intrigued and frustrated people. Most of the frustration results from the lack of any reliable method for developing Emotional Intelligence. We believe our training courses will address this issue. Also, as far as we are aware, we are the first to ever attempt this type of practical training on line.
Our first course will be available from Wed 16th March and other more advanced courses will be available latter in 2005.
