We often use support courses to provide extra support to students. While some students are manaually enrolled in the course most are guided to the course and then self enroll if/when they decide to.
The courses are setup with:
- COURSE ENROLLABLE = YES
- AVAILABILITY = THIS COURSE IS AVAIALBLE TO STUDENTS
- GUESET ACCESS = ALLOW GUESTS WITHOUT THE KEY
and then add a HTML block that contains the enroll link e.g. http://...yoursite.../course/enrol.php?id=13441
and then click the ASSIGN PERMISSIONS icon in the block heading then the OVERRIDE PERMISSIONS to add the following overrides for the TEACHER, TUTOR and STUDENT role
- VIEW BLOCK = PROHIBIT
