Hi - I am trying to install Moodle on a Mac OS X Lion (10.7.2) and so followed the seemingly super easy instructions here: http://download.moodle.org/download.php/macosx/Moodle4Mac-MAMP-21.dmg
Problem is, when I start up MAMP, the Apache server loads fine, but the MySQL Server will not. I have also got XAMPP for mac installed and that works (but I couldn't upgrade the php version from 5.3 to 5.3.2) so I want to say that its a port conflict. I have tried changing the MySQL port to various other numbers to see if that will fix it but so far no joy.
Any ideas?
