I just started my moodle site (http://moodle.ahost4free.com/moodle/) but there are some problems;
1. When i upload a avatar, the image is "broken" or missing
2. How do i change the font used on the site?

Your hosting provider is embedding some javascript for Google ads into all your web pages.  This is mucking up the display of user images in your moodle site.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with uploading my user image to my own moodle site.  The standard yellow smiley image displays fine, but it won't display any jpg's.

I have tried to follow advice in other posts but don't know what Apache or IIS is.  Also, I looked at Martin's tips (regarding the GD...can't remember the name!) but it was all set correctly.  The only thing I haven't yet tried is the moodle workaround suggestion of the 'slash' thing, but I don't really want to reduce performance on my moodle site...

Any other ideas?  Images have always uploaded fine when I've installed asp scripts in the past...

Cheers Mark

Wait.. fileuploads are uploading, but they cannot be retrieved via the moodle site. Additionaly, i have to access the file uploads section of my website via FTP because of permissions..
