One thing that struck me looking at Tsunami reports on the web was the poor quality of the educational multimedia material that some media outlets put together about the Tsunami geology. The worst was the UK guardian: It reported that there is a tectonic plate margin under Hawaii (there is none, its a hotspot) and also reported the mantle was fluid (its not, its semi molten). That material has now disappeared but there is still some other pretty ropey materials are still out there. I have a moan about it and then have a go myself, it was the final push I needed to start an 'education and geohazards' blog.
Have a look , I've been playing around with Macromedia Captivate so I produced my material in that, exported to flash and added an interactive bit at the end. BTW Captivate seems very useful for demos, ppt to swf and being able to export to flash is very useful.
Would like to hear what you think
