What might cause Moodle 1.9's sidebars to become asymmetrical?

What might cause Moodle 1.9's sidebars to become asymmetrical?

One of our courses on OTA's Moodle 1.913+ site is "not like the others. "

What's worse is I don't have a clue how it got that way or how to "fix it."

The right sidebar is wider than the one on the left.

Does anyone have a clue how something like this can happen or where the setting/data is that we can tweak to fix it?

I have a horrible suspicion that a data table somewhere in SQL needs someone to have a "talk" with it.

It's also occurred to me I'm a chump to be posing a "Why?" question about something this trivial.

If there's no rational reason to worry about it,  no one will reply and I'll simply leave it alone.

The only thing I can think of that's more compulsive then asking my dumb question in the first place is ANSWERING IT MYSELF.

Here we go!

It turns out one of the course's facilitators had a hunch that it might have been caused by something her co-facilitator might have pasted into the first posting in the Admin Forum. (Savvy course facilitator!)

So I selected the entire posting and used the Word Doc cleaning tool to whack out all the MS CSS crud.

That did it! Symmetry was restored.

Unfortunately I didn't save the original version somewhere so I could analyze it and see what was in there that caused the formatting glitch that changed the dimensions of the Admin Forum Announcements block.

Guess it'll have to remain a mystery till the next time.
