I have recently added an activity to - JOURNAL (Campus Pack). My students have started submitting journal entries, but I could find way to provide them feedback. I have downloaded the Moodle manual Ch.8 that provides guidelines on how to create Journals and provide feedback, but what described in that manual is totally different for the Campus Pack module.

The Moodle manual you are talking about is possibly a much earlier version of your Moodle. To provide feedback you click on the journal itself and then in the top right hand corner you should see something like "view....submitted" where the ... is the number of students who have submitted their entries. Click on that link and you will get to the gradebook where you click on "grade" to read and feedback on each entry. I don't have journal on my Moodle but I am reasonably sure it will work like that as other activities like assignments do
