It is incorrect in American English, but not British/Australian English. That is why there is an english_us language pack.

Depending on which dictionary you trust, both spellings are apparently acceptable in US English, though the double 'l' is more common and should probably be adopted for the en_US language pack (if it isn't already).

TheOxford English Dictionary, http://www.askoxford.com , says that "enrolment" is the standard spelling with "enrollment" a US alternative.

Funny to see them adding letters rather than taking them away as in "color" wink

Do Americans "enrol" or "enroll"?

enrolment

(US enrollment)

noun 1 the action of enrolling or being enrolled. 2 N. Amer. the number of people enrolled at a school or college.

well, I didn't realize it was british - if I had, I wouldn't have said anything. Anyhow it wasn't a big deal to me, but I mistakenly thought it might be important.

As an American, it is helpful for us to be reminded that we are not always the centre of the universe.   Oz is now my centre.   wink    Keep this as standard and let the Brits and Americans install their own language packs.

P.S.  Anyone interested in created an international English pack for learners?   Oops, that's a question for Moodle Lang.   smile

I have modified our language pack Don to suit our clients terminology. We (commercial training providers in the UK as oppossed to schools, colleges, etc.) don't talk about teachers and students rather trainers or facilitators and delegates. I have found it extremely easy to use Dreamweaver's find and replace system to change the language pack each time to use our colloquial terms!

So if you want a new language pack...
