Customize the Login Screen -- Moodle 2.1

How do you create a login screen/page, iv searched google but i couldn't find an example on how to do this.

I'm new to moodle so bear with me!

i would like to have a basic login screen which doesn't have the blocks either side which mine has at the moment.

Why don't you just remove the blocks from the login page?

Sorry but i'm really new to moodle, so i know im going sound like a dummy. But I don't know how to do this, not sure where in the settings where i can get rid of the block, but show the blocks when user is logged in.

This is what my login screen looks like at the moment.

I just want a simple moodle login screen.

Any tips you or anyones has would be a great help thanks

As an administrator, you should turn editing on on the front page. You can then click the edit box on each block. You should see some options defining which page the blocks are displayed on.

I hadn't really thought about it before but the sites I have seen don't seem to have blocks on the login page. Is it possible someone has turned them on? Some of the possible block options are to show the block on every page.
