Moodle went wacko, everything seems to be missing... with no explanation!

So here I am, Moodling along producing content in a new course and BANG, I get the error outlined in the attached picture.

Then I click continue and the  database acts as if it's upgrading itself!?

I am then returned to what looks to be a brand new installation of Moodle.

I really need help on this one... This is right in the middle of piloting a couple of new staff development courses with Moodle and trying to convince the uppers that we should ditch WebCT.

Even if I try to access my courses by their direct link such as

http://moodledev.stisd.net/course/view.php?id=4

I get "Invalid Course ID"

What in the heck happened to my DB???

It looks like your Moodle database got corrupted.  Try to repair it with phpMyAdmin, or restore it from backups.
