I would like to mark the quiz as complete when a particular score is achieved. For example, I set the pass feedback as 80% (or more) in the grade boundry.
In the quiz settings, Require grade, there is an option called “Student must receive a grade to complete this activity” but if I use this, the activity is marked complete even if the student achieves less than the 80%. Do I need to do something else?

Did you find an answer? I am trying to figure out how to set the system for what is the passing grade.
You need to find your quiz grade item in the gradebook -click the grades link in the course administration and then click Categories and items. Click to edit the grade of that quiz and you will have the option"grade to pass" 
Where do you find the gradebook?
It is called 'Grades' and it should be in the course administration section of the settings block (see illustration).
