Moodle 1.9 - Enrolling users site-wide ?

Hello, i'm trying to use an external database to authenticate and enrol users into moodle. So far, the authentication works, but the students and teachers don't have acces to courses.

For this project, all courses must be available to all students and all teachers.

Is it possible to automatically enrol these users (500+) site-wide (system context) with the correct role (student and teacher) without having to enroll them into each course ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

Hi Damien,

as far as I know, this is not possible in Moodle 1.9 without modifying the code. The external database enrolment plugin can only enrol users into courses (course context), not into categories or site-wide.

Saludos.
Iñaki.

Hi Iñaki,

thank you for your answer.

Maybe it would be feasible with version 2.x, but we're not yet ready to upgrade to this version soon.

Anyway, my external database auth with enrolment into each course is working fine for now.  I guess I'll stick with that !
