Moodle documentation: Helping with Documentation Wiki

Hi everyone,

I am new to Moodle and was going through the documentation. I noticed some things that could be added or improved (larger than just grammar errors). I was also encouraged in a thread in the security forum to add some of the thoughts I put there to the "What to do after you've been hacked" page.

My question is, what are the guidelines to modifying the wiki? Should I post to the talk page of the page I want to edit first? It seems like some of the talk pages don't get looked at too often. Should I post the proposed change in a forum thread like this one to get more visibility?

Timothy,

This is that latest that I know of: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=176065#p778731

Helen Foster or Tomaz Lasic are better to fully answer your question.

But it is a wiki.

Hi Timothy,

Thanks for your offer of help with our documentation wiki.

You can find guidelines on modifying the wiki here: MoodleDocs:Guidelines for contributors. Everyone is welcome to contribute - there's no need to post to a talk page, or in a forum thread, unless you'd like feedback on your proposed changes, or you're unsure of something.

Regarding the advice you gave in the thread URGENT HELP!! ADMIN ACCOUNT HACKED, please go ahead and add it to Hacked site recovery as Tim suggests. Thanks in advance! smile
