Am I correct in saying that a lecturer can manually grade a student's essay question and once this has been done the student will receive an email notifying them of their essay grade?
Our students are not receiving essay question notifications once they have been graded.

No, there have never been emial notifications for this. (It would be nice to have.)

I must of dreamt of turning on 'Essay notifications' somewhere...yeah would be a nice feature as I have to eat my words when I see one of the lecturer who I promised that it existed
I suppose you mean that this "email notification" feature that currently exists in the Lesson module should be also available in the Quiz module?
