Time line for being able to import 1.9 courses into 2.0.3?

I have tried for days to successfully upgrade from 1.9.x to 2.0.3 and 2.0.3+.

Unfortunately, I have seen some bizare things occur and have not been able to successfully upgrade. However, I have been able to go down the path of backing up a course, restoring to another 1.9 server and upgrade that NEW server to 2.0.3, with the course intact.

I really don't want to go this route for all 400+ courses on our current server. I would much prefer to be able to upgrade 1.9.x to 2.0.x, but would settle for doing a simple backup and restore of all courses to a new 2.0.x server.

All that to ask, 'what's the timeline for backups from 1.9 servers being able to be restored on a 2.0.3 box"?

http://www.moodleinschools.org.nz/courseconverter is the link to the course convertor from the Moodle in Schools distrbution.

You may find creating a clean 2.0 install - and importing the courses this way may suit.

And there is this: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Development:Backup_2.0_-_Provide_upwards_compatibility_of_Moodle_1.9.x_backups

Moodle 2.i is supposed to import 1.9 backups.  Another way of geting a clean 2.0 server to start with.  Timeline for this: late June.  http://docs.moodle.org/en/Roadmap
