I reinstalled Moodle. Same problem as before. Even with "local web". I am guessing that maybe my config files don't jive.
I have a theory...
Could the directions be outdated? I was using the directions at moodle.org/doc > Administration > Apache, MySQL, PHP > Windows. Those directions advise to make a copy of config-dist.php, name it config and edit as necessary. I did so.
The instructions that can be found at moodle.org/doc > Administration > Installation describe a different method. They indicate in Step 4 that you run the installer script to create the config.php file.
I will follow the latter directions during my new setup and hopefully the config files will be correct.
Bad part is that I have to wait three days to mess with it again. I have to grade final exams this weekend.
I'll post my moodling results later.
