hi, I need to find where the course files are created when we create a course, an activity or a resource. I indeed created a course and inside a new resource, a file html that I upload. The file works good but the content (pictures, html,...) is missing.
I so want to add this content in the folder where was created my file html on the moodle ftp server.

Are you on 1.9? If so then look at the URL of your html file - it will have a number - each course has its own folder of files which is numbered (the front page is folder(directory) 1 and so on) If you go to your moodle on the server and look for the moodledata folder (which will be outside the root) then look in there for the appropriately numbered folder. If you are on 2.0 then it is slightly different
Yes - that's why I didn't go into detail about the 2.0 version course files Basically you cannot ftp into the course files as you could with 1.9. If you do a search in the docs for file system repository this is one way you can get round this -make a folder on your server and ftp your stuff into there. Then inside your moodle in site admin>plugins>repositories you make a new repository called file system and that can be used in different courses to drag resources from.
