WebRhubarb and Hotpot for Moodle 2.0

WebRhubarb and Hotpot for Moodle 2.0

Hi!

I downloaded hotpot module 2.0 directly from Gordon's test server (march 2nd version) and installed it on a moodle 2.2.

I tried to use the module with a web rhubarb activity (with a picture, an audio file and a player. It is set to let the students redo the activity as much as they want and to keep the highest score.

When trying to use the activity the first time, it works. The second time it crashes. There seams to be a problem with attempt.php.

Has anybody faced the same issue? I wanted to upload this 3Mo activity and attach it to this post, but the upload limit doesn't allow it. I can e-mail it to whoever wants to test it on their server.

Cheers, Franck

Hi Gordon,

I uploaded my exercise on your moodle and it works fine there! I thus tried again on my moodle, starting all over with setting my hot pot activity. And once more I got the following message: Can not find data record in database table hotpot

I compared the activity settings with what was on yours, and could not spot any difference. I tried on a fresh install on another server. There, at the second attempt, whenever I input something in the field and press check I get a 404 error blank page...

Have you got an idea?

Franck

I unchecked the 'unable hotpot cache' setting in admin/pluggins/activitymodules/hotpot and everything works fine now!

Thanks anyway Gordon.

Hi Franck,

well done for finding a workaround. If you now clear the cache (on the same admin/pluggins/activitymodules/hotpot page), you should be oK to re-enable the cache and everything wil be OK fomr then on.
