Hi Moodler,
This Question may be very Basic and may be simple. So sorry in advanced.

I have created ' 10 Jcloze' Questions in Hot Potatoes with 'jcl and html' extension.
Then with Masher i made a single 'Quiz' in Hotpotatoes. (Not in Moodle).

Now i wanted to make a single Quiz (with 10 Que.) in Moodle.

Now in MOODLE,

With the help of 'Hot potatoes Quiz' i made a Quiz.
But in this Quiz i add maximum ONE QUESTION..

For 10 Questions, i have to made 10 different Quizzes. (i think its not Fair).

one thing i can make---1) Update quiz chain, 2) Show next quiz. But these options are not perfect.

Second thing i must use 'Quiz Port'..

Other than this, is there any perfect option. PL. suggest.

What is use of MASHER in moodle.

TIA
Happy Moodling.

Regards,
Ravi

Well, then couldn't you put the text for the 10 little JClozes into one big JCloze? Then you could submit that to the students in one HotPot activity.

Alternatively, you could import each little JCloze into its own question in the Moodle question bank, and then add those 10 questions to a Quiz activity.

Thanks, Gorden.
Thanks for response.

Actually, i have discussed it in short in 'QUIZ Module'.

http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=168876#p740834

When i export 'JCloze' Questions to 'Question bank (in Moodle)'.

It convert in "embedded Answer(Cloze) type". WITHOUT DROP DOWN.

We can make them 'Drop Down' with tedious syntax coding.

Though No Problem !!!
BUT,

Suppose, Any 5 Words as options, Then at every 'Gap Fill' .I need to give all five options.
I want to avoid this. What to do? Plz.suggest

What about my other suggestion - put your 5 small JCloze's into one big JCloze?

Regarding "tedious syntax coding", I would say that computers are good at tedious stuff, so how abot using Excel to create your questions? Put the five items in columns 1 to 5, and then in column 6 write an Excel function to combine the five options with the right syntax for a Moodle close question.

all the best

Hi Gordon,
I did it.
i imported little jcloze to Question bank and try to make Quiz.
But it doesn't show - DROP DOWN MENU.
That is why this is not much useful to us. OK.

we are using QUIZPORT. and solve this problem.

Thanks.

Best Regards,
Ravi

Well done Ravi - I am glad to hear you have found a way forward approve

I take your point about the import script being unaware of the drop-down functionality in JCloze. In due course, I will try to fix that.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy QuizPort !
