Does anyone complete a workshop from designing assignments, and peer feedback sheet to generating the final grade?
I am preparing an experiment about peer feedback and I would like to use the workshop function in Moodle. I tried to figure out the procedures for a complete workshop but I just can not get the clue. I need to know whether the workshop module works or not in the 1.0.9 version to decide whether I will go on using it for the experiment or make a paper-based peer feedback assignment.
For example, in my moodle site I established an assignment (assignment A) as a teacher. I submitted assignments in word documents with several student accounts. I also set up a workshop for assignment A, and upload a teacher assignment and assess it (I supposed it can be the example for student assessors to learn from). then I submitted assignments with different student accounts. But the problems are:
When login as a teacher, I can find the uploaded student files from the assignment module, but I can not connect them to the workshop module. Does it imply it is another way of asking students to submit assignments for giving peer review? What is that?
When I login as a student, I can not find the content of the workshop, indicating unavailable, even there is already a link on the left column. What should be done to make it available?
By the way, it seems no procedure for te teacher to allocate student assignments to student assessors. Are they random assigned for students to give feedback? If I login as a student will I see the exact the assignments I have to assess?
