Hi there,

I didn't quite like the old of the shortcut type variety, so I'm offering an enhanced icon pack for the full HotPotatoes suite inc. The Masher plus Quandary, Rhubarb, Sequitur:

jbc.gif - old Jquiz v5

jcl.gif - JCloze, jcw.gif - JCros, jmt.gif - JMatch, jmx.gif - JMix, jqz.gif -JQuiz

jms.gif - Masher, qnd.gif - Quandary, rhb.gif - Rhubarb, sqt.gif - Sequitur

All in the zip (>6KB).

I'd also suggest a new icon for HotPot to reflect the evolution ...

View the 6 variants.

Cheers

Stan

Beste Stan,

Is Text Toys to be introduced in Moodle?
That will say, when I insert a sequitur or rhubrab in my moodle it works fine but there are no results to be seen.
I always thought that is not possible. But now I read this message from you and I think maybe there is a way?

Henny,
you can administer Sequitur and Rhubarb exercises via Moodle, and see results, with both the HotPot and QuizPort modules.

The standard HotPot module for Moodle 1.9 can handle only html files, but the QuizPort module (Moodle 1.x) and HotPot module for Moodle 2.x can handle both html and sqt/rhb files.

If you would like me to investigate, please tell me what module you are using, what version of Moodle you are using, and attach an Sequitur or Rhubarb exercise that does not behave as you expect.

Alternatively you can login as a teacher on my site and set up your exercise there, so that we can look at it together.

Moodle 1.9

Moodle 2.x

best regards
Gordon

Stan or Gordon or Helen,

If our tech people install this icon pack, will our Moodle install automatically detect which Hotpotato was used to create the activity, and then automatically select the corresponding icon to be viewed on the webpage?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Chick Lindsay

Hi Chuck,

this is an old thread and I can't remember the details, but I do believe that the nice icons that Stan kindly created are already incorporated into the HotPot, QuizPort and TaskChain modules.

However, the icons are not used on the course page. Instead, I think they are used in the file picker when you choose a source file for your activity.

Gordon
