I work in the I.T. Department of my college. We have an adult education program and many of the students are changing their names. I have found in the permissions assignment form that you can disable them from editing their profile, but i really only want to keep them from changing the name. Is there a way to do this?

You can prevent students from changing their names by locking the first name and surname user fields via the settings link for your authentication method in Administration > Users > Authentication > Manage authentication.
