We have a number of students claiming that they submitted their quizzes (4 essay questions), but we can not find any trace of submitted answers even though we have completion times on the quizzes.
Is there any way we can verify whether or not the clicked on the Submit button?
Are there any reports of unreliability in regards to Submit or any known conditions where Submit might fail and not inform the students (Internet connection down, non-standard browser etc?)
What does the quiz do if it reaches the end of the alloted time and the student has not submitted? Does it submit for them?
If they used the Back button or closed the window, I presume that it would not submit.
Any recommendations on settings, and/or advice to students that might avoid this situation would be helpful.
