This may be a bit old, but I have a similar situation. I would like to have an admin that can not change anything, but can get to all courses, and not be a participant. Further, we would like it if the user would not be seen by teachers either. This may seem counterproductive, but we have administrators who sometimes need to go into courses to check and see if something was correct (student complaints, etc). If they can be seen by every teacher, what happens is we get a lot of teachers that start emailing these admins (hey, you are showing up in my class, is something wrong with the system?, etc).
Is there any way to make someone able to go into classes, not see grades, but not be seen by students AND teachers?
