I've made some changes to the auth_ldap_sync_users.php script and the sync function within the ldap auth plugin to support the user specifying a command-line argument filter to the auth_ldap_sync_users.php script. Our ldap directory contains a lot of disparate user classes. Active students and faculty that should have accounts in Moodle are only a sub-set of all our accounts, so the ability to restrict the users imported is of great value to our institution. I feel like this could be of use to others as well, but I wanted to follow the suggested protocol of posting in the forum first before submitting an issue/patch. Anyone else think this is something worthwhile or have any other suggestions?

Hello,
A request for this feature has already been made on the Moodle tracker in 8/juin/08 04:24 PM . See http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-15296 .
I guess you could join this request by adding a comment on it or vote for it.
Cheers.
