QuizPort has to be downloaded from the Moodle "Modules and Plugins" and installed by the Admin. They may be reticent because it's still in beta but in fact it's pretty stable. I'm using it on a course with 42 students on shared hosting and though I have problems with backup and restore timing out, there are no problems with the QuizPorts. This time last year the students were close to rebellion so fed up were they with being tossed out doing the same exercises as Hot Potatoes.
