I am using Moodle 1.9 and I need to change the maximum amount of points the students can get. The default number is 330 grade. I need 600. How can I do that?

It depends on the structure of your gradebook and aggregation method.
If you use SUM for aggregation, and total number of points is 330, then you need to add more grade items (columns) to the gradebook.
If you use Simple Weighted Mean or Weighted mean, you can adjust the max grade for the course, by going to the course Administration block > Grades > Categories and Items > review the Max Grade column, and type 600 near Course Total. Save changes.

Thanks for your help. I am going to use the SUM for aggregation. I will go on working out how to use the gradebook. Am still new to Moodle.
