Would it be a good idea to add the ability to run cron jobs for text filters (similar to the existing functionality for modules)? This would simplify the setup of the Wikipedia filter I've got in development (currently on the back burner due to coursework and job commitments... semester ends in two weeks, though, so I should have some time to finish). Right now I'm running it as a separate cron job.
Is this something that might be generally useful? If others think it is, I'll put a feature request in the bug tracker.
