As a move toward creating a national organization to promote Moodle in Japan, the founding committee for The Moodle Association of Japan or 日本ムードル協会 has started.
The main purposes of this organization are as follows:
1. To promote the use of Moodle in Japan
2. To create a community for Japanese Moodlers to exchange information
3. To promote research and development of Moodle
4. To disseminate good practices of educating with Moodle and educational materials
5. To help support Moodle headquarters financially
6. To plan and administer annual Moodle Moot Japan

Our immediate goal is to bring the coming Moodle Moot Japan 2011 to a great success, but we will keep people informed with new developments of this organization, and will ask people to understand the purposes of and eventually join the organization.
