The URL Resources -- Embedded URL is too small.

The URL Resources -- Embedded URL is too small.

I tested the URL Resources and selected to embed the URL in my Moodle site.

The resource works in that it allows you to setup the URL and define the output, but the output is wrong.

I set it up to embed moodle.org in a course and it worked except that the window is too small and it is not adjustable (see screneshot bellow).

Hi Clarence. I've opened MDL-23648 to have this dealt with. Thanks for the report.

Hi,

I just tested the URL Resource in Moodle 2.0 Preview 4+ (Build: 20100819). Here are the results:

KEY:
............NW = Opens a New Window (use back arrow to return to Moodle site)
........... HNN = Header with No Navigation
........... NTab = Opens New Window in a New Tab
........... NBW = New Browser Window (opens a second browser)
........... SF = Small Frame (wrong size frame)
........... Stops = When you click the URL Resource link, it opens a page with the comment and the URL.  You have to click the URL to open the next page.

As you can see, there is a difference in how the URL resource works in these five browsers. I understand that most of the differences are due to the local browser settings.

However, I feel that when you click the URL resource link, it should not stop and make you click the URL again. It should load the new page and place the comment above or below the new page. This should be fixed.

The major problem for me is the size of the Embedded page when using Win IE. The size of the frame needs to be fixed.

I posted this in Tracker too.

BUMP!   This bug still exists and needs attention.  I hope someone can fix this.

Thanks,
