Moodle in English: Blocks disappear

Blocks disappear

I have created an HTML page to display course categories. I want Blocks to appear on the same page. These blocks appear on the Front and Topic pages. When I edit the category page they are there, then when edit is turned off they disappear. Any ideas why this might be?

Hi Dave
I've noticed this too however not many people see our course categories page because their list of courses is displayed on the front page! Have you tried using Sticky Blocks?

Hi Dave. Yes I've noticed it too - I think it is a quirk of Moodle that blocks on the course category page cannot be seen by regular Moodlers. Here it is in the tracker
