Hi everybody,
i've noticed a problem with a Moodle 1.9.8 installation (PHP 4.3.10, MySQL 4.1.22, Win2000Server, IIS5).
The installation goes well, after that i'm logged in and i can use moodle perfectly and without problems, then i logout.
When i try to re-login, Moodle redirects me (if i type the right user/password) into Home page but says that i'm not logged in.
I've just checked:
- moodle and moodledata has all w/r permissions
- sessions works (i've deleted moodledata/sessions directory also)
- HD has 5gb of free quota
Any ideas?
Several people like me are having the same problem:

I am trying to install version 1.9.9 but it is worse!!
mmm, my problem seems to be quite different.
My installation goes well and didn't jump "admin user" setup page.

Ciao Alessandro,
You may find the following Moodle Docs useful as there are known issues with Windows Server and IIS

and also this discussion too

Great it works!
The problem was in PHP IIS configuration as EXE module instead ISAPI module!
Thank you very much Mary!
