Gradebook

Hi Heather,
Ask you admin to go to Site Administration > Grades > General Settings and ensure that Student role is checked there for Graded Roles.

P.s. there are 2 capabilities for the student role that need to be set to Allow for the student role.

Gradebook:
View the grader report - prevent
View the outcomes report - prevent
View the overview report - depends on what is needed
View your own grade report - allow

Course:
View grades of other users - prevent
View hidden grades for owner -prevent (most of the time this is what instructors want)
View own grades - allow
