Scorm Problems :- manifest not found

Hi

I am running the lastest version of moodle on a windows 2003 box running apache. On every scorm package that I try to install\attach to a lesson causes a "manifest not found error". I have read through the forums on simila problems and have checked that the imsmanifest.xml file is in the correct place. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having this problem as well.
I'm running moodle on a hosted server:
  Apache 1.3.31
  PHP 4.3.10
  Moodle 1.5
  MySQL 3.23.49
  SCORM module version 2005052200
No matter what i do i get "manifest not found".
Please help!

Your zip file contains a directory/folder that contains your imsmanifest.xml file and all associated files. You need to get rid of the containing folder. The imsmanifest.xml file and all related files should be in the root directory when the package is unzipped by the LMS, not in a folder inside the .zip.

Sir i have seen your .ZIP file but i am not getting how to make menifest.xml file as root in zip file.....
Can u please show me that .zip file which doent give error of

Hi Sami,

Please find attached zip file as requested. I simply downloaded and unzipped Jon's example zip then zipped only the contents of the folder and not the folder itself. (Please check Brent's post above.)

 Thank u very much for response. I have a ppt file and i want to make it SCORM Compatible can i make.  I would be thankful if you guide me in this direction. I have downloaded a free sample from web which convert content to scorm compatible. but it is not working properly. So u please suggest some think how make it done.

Hi Sami,

Scorm packages generally consist of more than one file, otherwise it's not really worth the effort of creating them. wink

Have you looked at either RELOAD or eXe for creating Scorm packages?

I am Velibor from Serbia and Montenegro. I know about RELOAD and ExE but did not figure out how can I make word (or openoffice) file or Power Point presentation SCORM compatible. RELOAD have SCORM player which is good, but I do not know how to make SCORM package with RELOAD editor because it uses IMS content packaging and IMS metadata... which are a little bit different from SCORM, right? So any help? Link or something? thoughtful

Hi Velibor,

Reload give you the option of creating an IMS content package or a Scorm 1.2 package. Please check the Reload user guides.

Hi HElen its again sami from india , I have seen Course Geine and not reload or exe So i am planing to make a software which will make a scorm comkplaint course but i need help from u the title of proj should be what and what more i should do in it if u want to help u would be the co-ordinator for the project and i will be giving u the cofy as well as documentation ok waiting for ur reply BYEsmile
