Wrong date on the certificate

Wrong date on the certificate

I am using the certificate module in Moodle 1.8.3

The date on my certificate is not matching up with the date that it is generated. It seems to be about 6 hours after the actual date/time. If the certificate was generated at 7PM on the 8th then the certificate will have a date of the 9th on it.

The listing of all certificates generated for a course shows the correct date/time.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I am guessing that you are set to server time as your default time zone and the server time was reset. My personal cure would be to go to

http://www.yourmoodle.com/admin/timezoneimport.php and update your time zones

then go to http://www.yourmoodle.com/admin/settings.php?section=locationsettings

and select a city on your time zone for the default moodle setting and student setting   You can also select the default country for registrants if the vast majority of your students are based in the same country.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, the time zone is correct.

Everything shows the correct time/date except on the actual certificate.
