Quiz Results- downloading specific lines

Does anyone know how to only select certain rows to transfer to an excel spreadsheet?  Even if I select the desired rows, ALL data is sent to the spreadsheet.  Not too helpful when you have over 400 users...

Hi Mandy,
You'll probably get a better response by going to the Quiz forum. Above, click My Courses > Using Moodle and scroll down to Quiz.

It looks to me like you can't select rows of quiz results. http://docs.moodle.org/en/mod/quiz/report#Download_lists Your choices are
  • Show Students with attempts only - list only the students on the course who have done test
  • Show Students with no attempts only - list students who have not yet attempted the quiz
  • Show all Students - list all the students on the course no matter if they did the test or not
  • Show all attempts - like 'Show Students with attempts only', but this also includes attempts by users who used to be students on the course, but have since been unenrolled.
If it were me, I'd take all 400 of your users, import the spreadsheet to Access, and use an Access query to pull whoever it is you want. If you need help with that, I'll be glad to work with you on it, although I'm not an Access expert.

Thank you, Ben.  I appreciate the help.

I got back with the user and showed her the best way to filter the information in the Excel spreadsheet.  It's not difficult.  She was looking for maximum results with minimal effort. wink
