Is there a 'notepad' block

Is there a 'notepad' block

I think it would be really useful to give students a text block of their own on each course page, where they could make notes to themselves about their learning.

I've discovered the MyNotes block, which is great but not exactly what I'd like.  myNotes gives very small spaces for several notes, which are the same wherever the block appears.  I'd like one large space and different content in each course the block appears on.

Can anyone tell me if such a thing exists?

thanks!

Carol

I would like to second this - I was also looking for exactly this kind of module, but sadly only found the MyNotes one.

Is anyone out there working on such a module?

Hi Carol,

(in 1.9.x) Study Notes is a very good feature for this. From each site you have access with this icon.

Hi Joachim,

Yes this looks like the sort of thing I am after - I don't need it to be collaberative, but I presume I can turn this off?

Also, I would need it for Moodle 2.x do you know if there is a similar block for that version? I have not been able to find one so far.

Hi Jeff,

as far as I know there is no turn off button;

How do you manage to do this?  I have created a HTML block with a button but want the student to click and edit the contents.  Any instructions would be helful?
