is there currently a way to sort all new entries by time and date? I know the "recent items" appear in the side bar, but if there were a view that had such items and was not attached to the viewer's login, it would be great. If teachers could see new journals, that would be helpful as well.

Thanks,
TM

New journals do get shown (but not updated journals) - this is in line with the original design of journals as a one-feedback thing (eg students edit it all week, teacher does feedback for all at the end of the week). Someday I'll get to all those iterative journal improvements we've talked about. surprise

As for extending the recent activity, no way yet, but ... thoughtful ...how about a link at the bottom that says something like: "Older activity..." which leads to a new page on which you can see activity a week at a time or something ...? approve

Cheers,
Martin

This older activity button would be neat. Especially now that you have the "remove" recent activity option. This way, if the box were disabled, but a person wanted to sense the recent activity, they could hit an an activity/older activity button and get the week at a time (or whatever) list...
