If you are a high school math teacher like I am, then you'll want something to quickly draw complex equations. Typing pure LaTeX format is no fun.
I've tried a bunch of Windows editors, however the best one I've found is Texaide.

Once you have it installed:
- Go to EDIT->TRANSLATORS and turn off both check boxes.
- Go to FORMAT->INLINE EQUATION.
- When you make your formula, copy and paste it into moodle. When you copy it, it will paste it as pure TeX.
- You'll have to add one more dollar sign to the beginning and end for moodle to see it.
Works great!
I hope this helps.
