DataBase Server

Raid 5 10k SCSI disks
3 GB RAM
Server 2003 R2 SP2 64bit
MySQL
On which server would the moodledata be best situated? Approximate load is expected to be 400 concurrent users.

Looks like you have a very good configuration!
I would think you would want moodledata on the machine your web server is running on. The files will eventually have to go through that server anyway, so you might as well have them reside there too.
