I had to move my classroom to a new host. The last moodle instalation had major problems so we started with a new one and restored the classes. seemed to work fine. I have been going in and redirecting the paths for pictures.

The pictures in the course descriptions on the front page show a red 'x" unless you login. Then they seem fine. How do I fix this

Well, that is what happens when you use Intenet Exploder... thoughtful It is positively evil sometimes. The images display adquately in FF and while your front page is very clever, you may want to rethink it. Using the image as a background may be overloading IE. Not saying it is, but it is possible.

Be aware, though, that IE seems to have trouble adequately displaying pages generated by PHP, from time to time, and we have yet to agree on why, or how, or when.

Hi Misty Moodle Beginner smile The reason why you have red Xs instead of images on your front page in the course descriptions is because your images are housed in the different courses and you can only see them if you are enrolled in that particular course - move your images to the site files on the front page (directory number 1) and they will work smile

Hi there Misty. No - don't go via cpanel. Go to your moodle front page and log in. You should be admin I guess. Then in the admin box you have on the left click on front page>site files. Upload your images into there. Then for each image, get its url (from properties) and go back to the individual course and then when you click on the icon for inserting an image use the url you have got from site files.
