I think that is just the way Moodle assignments work, actually - even though they are working as a team if one of them posts it then only that one can edit it. A workaround might be to create a "group login" if you have admin rights and then they can all use that login to view the assignment - or else you could investigate using a forum with groupings - that way only the members of each team could see the assignment which would be posted as an attachment. You can rate/grade the attachment/assignment so it would go in the gradebook. However , having said that, I am sure I have seen somewhere on the forums a patch or add on module or at least some discussion about "group assignment" to do exactly what you want. I will go and do a search and suggest you do too! EDIT No - I just did a search myself and found it is a feature requested in the tracker here So it looks like you might have to use a workaround after all ...
