The "Download latest version" per the Scheduler module
download page (as of 02/01/2010), has an error in the scheduler/version.php file. It says:
$module->version = 2008080800; // The current module version (Date: YYYYMMDDXX)
$module->requires = 2008092400; // Requires this Moodle version
$module->cron = 60; // Period for cron to check this module (secs)
However, the latest version of the 1.97 branch as of this date is (per moodle/version.php, updated via cvs this date, 02/01/2010):
$version = 2007101571.02; // YYYYMMDD = date of the 1.9 branch (don't change)
// X = release number 1.9.[0,1,2,3,4,5...]
// Y.YY = micro-increments between releases
$release = '1.9.7+ (Build: 20100127)'; // Human-friendly version name
The "Download for Moodle 1.9" file, per the Scheduler module download page, shows the following in scheduler/version.php:
$module->version = 2008061700; // The current module version (Date: YYYYMMDDXX)
$module->requires = 2004082300; // Requires this Moodle version
$module->cron = 60; // Period for cron to check this module (secs)
This discrepancy prevents the "latest version" from installing correctly.
I changed the "requires" version to 2007101571 (which I am running) and the "latest version" module installed without incident. YMMV, depending on your version...
Good luck.
