Hello Moodlers,

We very much hope that you will all be able to attend "MoodleMoot 2010 - Hakodate", the second MoodleMoot to be held in Future University - Hakodate. The MoodleMoot will be held on the weekend of the 13th and 14th February, 2010.

Please consider presenting at the MoodleMoot. The deadline for submissions is the 1st November. You can read the "Call for Presentations" here:

Some other dates that you might like to make a note of are:
  • November 1st: Deadline for proposal submissions
  • December 1st: Notices of acceptance sent out & Pre-registration opens
  • January 8th: Pre-registration for presenters closes
  • February 8th: Pre-registration for non-presenters closes
  • February 13th: MoodleMoot Day #1
  • February 14th: MoodleMoot Day #2

Congratulations, Peter! I heard you your school will sponsor this second MoodleMoot Japan. I attended the first one last February and was surprised so many people came at the last moment--I think over 80 joined over the two day program. Hopefully with such an advance announcement, we can have 100-150 participants this time.

I am sorry I will not be able to attend directly due to studies in Melbourne, Australia. But if their is a way to join via skype, I will surely contribute.

Thank you very much for your message, but sorry to hear that you will not be able to attend the MoodleMoot next February.

However, your idea of using Skype (or IChat) to join us here in Hakodate is a great idea. Perhaps you could even do a presentation via Skype? By the way, Skype now makes it possible to share screens, so doing a presentation from Melbourne could be quite possible. What do you think?

By the way, the deadline for presentation submissions is just 11 days away!
