Download file in assigment

Hi,

I would like to create assignments to students with a file they have to download, add content to the file, and then upload that altered file again.

Is there a possibility to make a link in the description section to a file that is stored on the Moodle server in that class? Or is there a other solution.

But how do I create that link. There is no possibility to select files from that window.

Hi Chris. When you are typing into the assignment description box you can click on the chain (insert weblink) icon and browse for your file that you have uploaded into the course files area. Students will then be able to download it from there, alter it and re-upload it in the browse box of the assignment.
