Issues with IE8 and Moodle

Hello everyone,
I am having serious issues with IE8 and Moodle 1.9.2. I'm not sure if it is the theme I am using (czw_blue_new - great theme) or it's just the browser itself. Whenever I go to a site, I notice that the images are missing. I have looked at the paths of the images and they do point to an image on the correct server. If I leave the main page or go back to the main page, I get an error, "A server error that affects your login session was detected. Please login again or restart your browser." I don't get have any of these issues when using other browsers. I just fought with this problem, cleared my history and cookies, etc., opened IE back up, and now the pages are fine. This is just crazy. I would really like to keep the theme and setup that I have now, but I can't have the public, especially parents and students, having this issue. If anyone has any suggestions, besides converting everyone over to a decent web browser, I would appreciate your help. Thank you and have a great weekend.

There is a strong possibility that Microsoft's implementation of the Zend engine, which drives PHP is not as good as it could be. This, I suspect, is a similar issue to the IE 6 and 7 implementation of Java and Javascript, flawed.

Given Microsoft's history with third party standards, the general arrogance of the company and their penchant for developing their own "standards", often to the detriment of others, I suggest that this is more than just a possibility.

It is my recommendation to all and sundry that they should eschew Microsoft products and just use open source or other software. But then I am no great influence, please yourself, but I do not use IE for anything if I can avoid it and I do not have any problems.

Simple answer - no. Longer version when I meet Gates during a corp buyout in the mid 80's the hair on my neck stood up.  My Microsoft phobia is rooted in the sale of DOS over CPM in the dark ages and they still play the same game.  Hype the product, sell it, then use the profit to develop it.

Have you tried using IE8's compatability view? It behaves better on our site with it on.
