I would have to know more about what you would want to achieve however I would say that one approach that may work is to use groups within a course. Each client would be a group and people working with them would be assigned to their group.
Or you could set up separate courses for each client and make use of MetaCourses to import the activities etc.
For extra management you could also look into the Techproject module.
