I just posted some resources for teachers to students show work on math problems and art projects.

Any other ideas I can share with my teachers?

Thanks!

Look at my terrible grammar! I was writing too quickly it seems. Edit so search queries can find it:

I just posted some resources for teachers to help students show their work on math problems and art projects facilitated by Moodle.

Does anyone have additional ideas / tools I can share with my teachers for this purpose?

Thanks!

Laura, your Cool Modules course is fabulous! Thanks for sharing. approve

Any chance we could include it on demo.moodle.org too?

Helen, absolutely! The more, the merrier!

The course is continually updated with activities, as I hold monthly online demos in Elluminate to showcase topics and modules. It is always growing and changing, so let me know what you have in mind. if you'd like to link to it, that will keep your site up-to-date; if you prefer to backup/restore it into your site, it will be old in hurry! mixed Let me know, and thanks for the feedback! smile

P.S. - If any users would like to see something demonstrated on Cool Modules, let me know and I'll add to it!

Wow this is awesome stuff. Thanks sooooooooooo much for sharing. I have enrolled and look forward to future updates. Cool beans. I like how you used the Elluminate Manager to log into your Moodle Open Mic. We have a full Elive license but have only used the manager for Admin stuff. How did you link it into your moodle site? Very cool.

We use the Elluminate-Moodle bridge. Do you? I like the use of the manager for the public spaces that do not require a login however. I will have to look into that.

The wheels are spinning...can you hear them smile

Glad you like it, Deb! I hope to see you at an Open Mic night - I post the dates on Laurie Korte's MoodleMeet ning (http://moodlemeet.ning.com), as well as on the calendar for Cool Modules during the school year.

As far as Elluminate goes, I record the session and simply use the "Link to a file or website" to link directly to the URL. If there is an easier way to do this (I create the links manually), do let me know! I'll research the Elluminate Bridge, which we don't yet use. Thanks so much!

Your very welcome, I will check out your Open Mic Night schedule.

The moodle-elive bridge is way cool and a real time saver. Then you can add an Elive session like any other activity and there is one link. You specify what role each person enters, moderators, participants and then after the session ends it automatically turns into a recording link and also records attendance. There is a link to it on the Elluminate site if you just search moodle, I am sure you will come up with it. Good Luck and thanks for sharing the wonderful resources.

Thanks for the positive feedback!

Does anyone have module ideas, examples from their own courses, or suggestions for the Cool Modules page? It is always in development - email me at moodle@cciu.org or post your stuff here and I'll add it! Course backups of your best activities to restore into my example page are especially welcome, so that all can benefit from your great work.

Thanks!
